Author Biographies

Simon Becker

Simon Becker was born in 1974 in Switzerland. Eight years ago, he came to the United States through a student exhange program. After attending Jacksonville State University in Alabama, majoring in chemistry, he studied traditional Chinese medicine at the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Upon graduation, he went to Harbin, China, where he interned at the Heilongjiang TCM University Hospital, concentrating mainly on pediatrics and hematology.

Currently, Simon lives in Asheville, North Carolina, with his wife, Young-Ju Shin, and their cat. He conducts a private practice, specializing in pediatrics and hematology in Arden, North Carolina. Simon is a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology and holds a certificate in TCM pediatrics from Blue Poppy Press.

Simon's hobbies include hiking, biking and gardening.
