Author Biographies

Lü Gang

Lü Gang was born in the People's Republic of China in 1961. He is a graduate of the Nanjing College of Chinese Medicine, having earned his masters of science degree in acupuncture-moxibustion at that college in 1989. Since graduating from Nanjing, Lü has been working as a teacher and administrator at the Overseas Students Department of the Hubei College of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, Lü was promoted to be section chief of that department. Lü has published one book and at least five theses on acupuncture in Chinese. He is also the coauthor (along with Philippe Sionneau) of the seven volume series, The Treatment of Disease in TCM. Lü is responsible for all the acupuncture and moxibustion treatments in these books. Lü Gang is married, he describes his health as excellent, and he lists his hobbies as reading and sports.
