Author Biographies
Fred Jennes received his B.A. and M.Ed. from Duke University. After a
number of years working as a teacher and curriculum designer in
higher education, he became interested in the study and teaching of
medicine and worked at Duke University Medical Center and the Duke
Computation Center as a researcher and systems analyst. His continued
interest in medicine eventually led him to complementary healing fields
and he took up the study of acupuncture and herbology at the Colorado
School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTCM). After graduation he
opened a clinic in Greeley, Colorado, where he still practices today.
He has been a faculty member at CSTCM, served on the governing board
of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado, and is currently a member of
the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
(ACAOM). He is a professional member of the National Qi Gong
Association and the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association
(NADA), and teaches taiji and qi gong in northern Colorado. He is the
author of 750 Questions & Answers About Acupuncture: Exam Preparation &
Study Guide. He is also the author of Herb Toxicities and Drug Interactions A Formula Approach and the instructor for the distance learing course Safety With Chinese Herbs.
