Author Biographies
Dr. Lifang Liang, O.M.D, Ph.D., L.Ac., received her m.d. from the
Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, where she studied both Western
and Chinese Medicine. After graduating, she spent six years receiving
specialized training in gynecology. She then practiced and taught at the
medical school for fourteen years. In 1989, Dr. Liang moved to the
United States to conduct research on in vitro fertilization at the
University of Texas Medical School. Following that, she moved to San
Francisco to teach gynecology at the American College of Traditional
Chinese Medicine. Dr. Liang has recently earned her Ph.D. from the
American Global University Program for Oriental Medical Research in the
treatment of infertility using a combination of Chinese and Western
medicines. Dr. Liang is a member of RESOLVE, a national resource
organization for those battling infertility. She is currently pursuing
her dream of combining Chinese and Western medicine for the benefit of
her patients and the development of medicine in San Francisco, where she
teaches gynecology at ACTCM, and has her own clinic.
