Author Biographies
Bruce Robinson was a board-certified surgeon. Graduating with high
honors from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, he completed
another five years of post-graduate internship and residency at the
university, and a research fellowship at St. Bartholomew's Medical
College in London. During his 30 year medical and surgical practice
Bruce treated over 80,000 patients. Now that he is no longer in
practice, he has dedicated his professional career to bridging the gap
between Western medicine and Chinese medicine. He served as president
and board chairman of Meridian Institute of Integrated Chinese Medicine,
formerly located in Monterey, California. Bruce has been on several
extensive trips to China, and maintains close contacts there with
medical universities located in Shanghai, Tianjin, and Beijing. He
serves on the board of directors of the National Board of Internal
Medicine for Acupuncturists, the Acupuncture and Integrated Medicine
College in Berkeley, and he is the medical advisor for the Secara Herbal
Corporation.
