As some of you may know, I'm on Facebook. Every day I try to post some useful formulas, outcomes of research, and/or quotes from both premodern and contemporary Chinese doctors. Yesterday, a bunch of us had a really good discussion about why some practitioners of Chinese medicine feel the need to go outside our system to use homeopathy, naturopathy, aroma therapy, etc. There were a number of different responses which were very thought-provoking. While I hate it when people tell me that they just had a cup of coffee, I see Facebook as a potential way of spreading information on Chinese medicine "virally." Of course, Facebook limits the number of characters in a post. So that means I have to keep things pretty short and to the point. (For longer communications, I can use this blog.) In any case, I've posted some very useful information on Facebook that a number of my "friends" have really liked. If you want to become my Facebook friend, just shoot me a request and tell me that you're either a member of our profession or a student in acupuncture school. I think I'm up over 580 Facebook friends. The vast majority (more than 98%) are all fellow acupuncturists, acupuncture students, and practitioners of Chinese medicine from all over the world. However, don't look for me on Twitter. I'm not there and hope not to be.

See ya on Facebook.
