Well, today and tomorrow are moving day for Blue Poppy. Everything is (mostly) packed up and the movers have shown up. I used to be a mover in NYC in my early 30s, and I would've wanted no part of such a huge, complex job. Happily, our 27-year-old son has been home the last couple of weeks to help with all the boxing up and lifting. I've already had one hernia operation after 25 years of schlepping boxes of books; I have no interest in a second one. In any case, after 12 PM today, any orders that come in will be shipped on Monday.

We're really looking forward to our new home. Lots more space. We've been in our current space for eight years. The main reason we're moving at this point in time is that we will be carrying a whole new line of 7:1 concentrated Classics (106 formulas) plus a whole new line of powdered extract singles, all manufactured in our cGMP certified compliant factory in China. So we're gonna have it all. In addition, we will be carrying more acu-moxa supplies, including sharps boxes and various types of moxa. Did I also mention a line of medicinal mushrooms? All these products will be phased in by the end of October. Our new catalog is at the printer's now and it will include all these new products. I think I've also mentioned in a previous post (if not here, then on Facebook) that we're going to have a walk-in retail space as well for all those who live on Colorado's Front Range.

I go on a week-long retreat on Sunday. So I'll be off-line and incommunicado till Sept. 1. However, the Blue Poppy staff will be up and running by 9 AM MDT Monday morning. Oh yeah, some other good news: Starting Monday, we will be adding a full-time L.Ac./Chinese medicine practitioner to Customer Service. So you will be able to talk to a knowledgeable practitioner about any and all of our products. Just another way we are making every effort to provide you, our customers, with the very best service in our industry. With first Eric and now Shawn, we will have even more depth of knowledge and experience on our team.
