Golden Flower's Yin Chiao compared to Blue Poppy Herbs' ColdQuell Golden Flower's Yin Chiao is simply another in a long list of versions of the famous Yin Qiao San (Lonicera & Forsythia Powder). Like ColdQuell, this formula is for the treatment of a wind heat external contraction cold or flu. Unlike ColdQuell, it does not support the righteous at the same time. ColdQuell addresses both the root and branch or tips at the same time. According to the Nei Jing (Inner Classic), in the treatment of external contractions, "If the righteous qi has been damaged, one must drain evils at the same time as supplementing the righteous."
