Treatment of Modern Western Disease with Chinese Medicine, Second Edition -
by Bob Flaws and Phillipe Sionneau. Since the initial publication of this book, the most complete clinical manual on the Chinese medical treatment of modern Western diseases, it has become far and away the best selling title that we publish. Now this new second edition has been expanded, updated, and improved. The new edition covers 79 common Western diseases, seven more than the previous book. For each disease the book covers both acupuncture and Chinese medicine protocols for treatment as well as a comprehensive review of Western medicine. In addition, all the herb listings have been reformatted as easy-to-read lists instead of paragraphs. The herbs are now listed with pin-yin first and Latin nomenclature second. Finally, all herbal listings have been updated to correspond to changes in the latest edition of Chinese Herbal Medicine: Materia Medica by Bensky, Clavey, and Stoger. Retail Price $129.95

The Successful Chinese Herbalist -
by Bob Flaws and Honora Lee Wolfe. This small volume represents the essence of two long-time practitioners' knowledge about practicing Chinese herbal medicine in the West. This book is not a materia medica or a formulary text. Rather, in an easy to read, conversational style, Bob and Honora share with you what they have learned about everything else you need to know to practice this wonderful medicine with satisfaction and success. Treating Infertility with Chinese Medicine -
This course has been one of our most popular new course offerings in the last year. It is designed to teach practitioners how to work with infertility patients who may or may not be also using various types of assisted reproductive technologies. In addition to the things one would expect in such a course: the causes, diagnosis, disease mechanisms, treatment principles and treatments for various types of infertility (mostly) in females, the class also covers how to adjust treatment during the four stages of the menstrual cycle, how to interpret BBT charts, how to work with women using various western fertility drugs or in vitro fertilization technology, as well as specific diseases that may lead to infertility.

The Basics of Western Medicine Series -
As acupuncturists' services are more and more frequently being integrated into mainstream medical treatment facilities, many practitioners have a serious need to understand more Western medical terminology, physical examination procedures, and diagnostic parameters. This series is comprised of the four 15 hour courses; each designed to teach acupuncture practitioners the basics of Western medicine and "medi-speak" for each of these specialties.

Medical Ethics for Practitioners of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine -
This one-hour class discusses the four universal principles of modern medical ethics and their clinical implications as well as the history of Chinese medical ethics. It also discusses the ethical codes of several Western acupuncture and Oriental medicine associations and organizations. Several common problem areas and issues for Western acupuncturists are discussed in detail, such as sexual misconduct, amking referrals, record keeping, and "secret" formulas.
